Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu koučinku jako metodě rozvoje zaměstnanců a porovnání executive koučinku mezi českými a španělskými firmami. Zejména zkoumá rozdílnou míru využívání executive koučinku mezi vedoucími pracovníky vporovnávaných zemích. Využívání executive koučinku ke zlepšení výkonu a kompetencí klíčových zaměstnanců roste po celém světě. Avšak je málo studií, které by se věnovaly stavu executive koučinku vjednotlivých zemích. Teoretická část práce nejprve představuje pojem koučink, jeho historický vývoj, nástroje a modely. Dále uvádí executive koučink, odlišuje ho od jiných forem koučinku a uvádí nejdůležitější techniky, proces a jeho výsledky. Závěrečná část teorie porovnává dostupné informace ohledně executive koučinku v České republice a ve Španělsku. V praktické části jsou interpretovány výsledky výzkumu. Celkem bylo získáno 200 odpovědí dotazníkovým šetřením z obou porovnávaných zemí, doplněno bylo o rozhovorové šetření s pěti respondenty z České republiky a s pěti jedinci ze Španělska. Výsledky ukazují, že jedním z hlavních důvodů rozdílné míry využívání executive koučinku je nižší míra povědomí o pojmu mezi vedoucími pracovníky v České republice. Dále se jedná o nízkou potřebu executive koučink využít mezi jedinci, kteří jej nikdy nevyzkoušeli. Výsledky výzkumu také ukazují, za jakým účelem manažeři v obou zemích executive koučink využívají nejčastěji a jejich celkové hodnocení. Popřípadě proč jej nevyužívají a co by je přimělo executive koučink využívat více. Na závěr jsou uvedena doporučení, jež mohou pomoci zvýšit míru využívání executive koučinku v České republice.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of coaching as a method of employee development, comparing executive coaching between Czech and Spanish companies. It examines the different level of use of executive coaching among managers in the compared countries. The use of executive coaching to improve the performance and competencies of key employees is growing worldwide. However, there are few studies that examine the status of executive coaching in individual countries. The theoretical part of this paper first introduces the concept of coaching, its historical development, tools, and models. It then introduces executive coaching, differentiates it from other forms of coaching and lists the most important techniques, its process, and outcomes. The final part of the theory compares the available information on executive coaching in the Czech Republic and Spain. The practical part interprets the results of the research. A total of 200 questionnaire responses were obtained from the two countries compared, supplemented by an interview survey with five respondents from the Czech Republic and five individuals from Spain. The results show that one of the main reasons for the different levels of executive coaching use is the lower level of awareness of the concept among managers in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, there is a low need to use executive coaching among individuals who have never tried it before. The results of the research also show the purpose for which executives in both countries use executive coaching most often and their overall assessment. As well as why some do not use it and what would make them try executive coaching. Finally, there are recommendations that can help increase the use of executive coaching in the Czech Republic.
