Multi-platform operational application for Wifibot Lab

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou návrhu a implementace webové aplikace pro ovládání robota Wifibot. Na začátku je popsán robot Wifibot Lab spolu s jeho hardwarovým vybavením, jak i komunikačními prostředky. Dále práce analyzuje stávající aplikace pro ovládaní a zobrazovaní data tohoto robota, na jejichž základě je stanovena metrika požadavků pro dostačující obslužnou aplikaci. Zároveň je zjištěn fakt, že aktuálně žádná taková aplikace s dostatečnou funkcionalitou neexistuje. Na základě stanovených požadavků jsou tedy v další části vybírány technologie, které by implementaci takovéto aplikace umožňovaly. Poté je popsán návrh realizované aplikace spolu s vysvětlením implementace. Na závěr je realizovaná aplikace zhodnocena.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a web application for controlling the Wifibot robot. At the beginning, the robot Wifibot Lab is described along with its hardware as well as communication means. Next, the thesis analyzes existing applications for controlling and displaying data of this robot, based on which a requirements metric for a sufficient service application is established. It is also discovered that no such application with sufficient functionality currently exists. Thus, based on the identified requirements, the next section selects technologies that would enable the implementation of such an application. Then the design of the implemented application is described together with an explanation of the implementation. Finally, the implemented application is evaluated.
