The use of geoboard in the teaching of elementary geometry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce nazvaná "Využití geodesky ve výuce elementární geometrie" se zabývá didaktickou pomůckou geodeska ve výuce matematiky, resp. geometrie, na 1. stupni ZŠ. Teoretická část práce shrnuje poznatky o historii geometrie, výuce geometrie v primárním vzdělávání, konstruktivistickém přístupu k vyučování a samotném představení didaktické pomůcky geodeska. Empirická část se věnuje výzkumu znalosti a využití geodesky pedagogy na 1. stupni ZŠ. Tento výzkum je doplněn o soubor úloh pro žáky, jehož cílem je porovnání práce žáků vyučovaných klasickou metodou matematiky s žáky vyučujících se metodou prof. Hejného.

Abstract:

The thesis titled " Using Geoboard in Teaching Elementary Geometry" deals with didactic aid geoboard in teaching mathematics, or rather in geometry at primary school. The theoretical part summarizes the history of geometry, the teaching of geometry in primary education, the constructivist approach to teaching, and the introduction of didactic aid geoboard itself. The empirical part focuses on an analysis of knowledge and use of geoboard by primary school teachers. A set of task for pupils is added to the study with the aim of comparing the work of pupils taught by tradional teaching of mathematics to the Proffesor Hejný´s method.
