Kryptoměny dle Evropského orgánu pro bankovnictví mohou přinášet různá rizika, zejména rizika pro uživatele, rizika pro účastníky trhu, kteří nejsou přímými uživateli kryptoměn, rizika z pohledu finanční integrity a rizika platebních systémů, které pracují s fiat měnami a souběžně podporují kryptoměny.
