Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rozsahem a obsahem odpovědnosti členů zastupitelstev obcí v České republice. Jejím cílem je proto zmapovat možnosti postihu zastupitelů obcí, jak v rovině soukromoprávní, tedy odpovědnosti za způsobenou újmu, tak také v rovině trestněprávní, kde je kladen zvýšený důraz na trestněprávní odpovědnost zastupitelů za jejich hlasování.
