Strategic analysis of British American Tobacco (Czech Republic) s.r.o.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá strategickou analýzou společnosti British American Tobacco (Czech Republic) s.r.o. Cílem bakalářské práce je identifikace silných a slabých stránek včetně příležitostí a hrozeb. Mezi další cíle patří zhodnocení aktuálního postavení společnosti s ohledem na konkurenční podniky v tabákovém odvětví. Práce se dělí na dvě části. První část bakalářské práce je teoretická a druhá část je praktická. V první části práce je definována základní terminologie, která je následně aplikována v praktické části. Praktická část obsahuje profil společnosti a poté analýzu makrookolí pomocí PESTEL analýzy. Mikrookolí je dále analyzováno s využitím nástrojů analýzy konkurence, Porterova modelu pěti sil a dalších nástrojů. V poslední řade je využita analýza vnitřních zdrojů a SWOT analýza. Závěr práce obsahuje výsledky strategické analýzy a doporučení na základě sesbíraných dat.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the strategic analysis of corporation British American Tobacco (Czech Republic) s.r.o.. The goal of this thesis is to identify the strengths, weaknesses, dangers, and opportunities of this corporation. Furthermore, this thesis also aims to analyze the current state of this corporation in comparison with other corporations specializing in tobacco. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, and the second part is practical. The first part of this thesis is devoted to explain the basic terminology, which is applied later in the practical part. The practical part contains the profile of the corporation and the macroenvironment by using PESTEL analysis. Next, the microenvironment is analyzed by using analysis of competition and PORTER five forces and so on. Lastly, the thesis examines the internal sources and SWOT analysis. The results of the strategic analysis and recommendations are based on all the data accumulated in this thesis.
