Existential reflection in poetry of J. H. Krchovský

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská diplomová práce analyzuje tvorbu současného českého básníka J. H. Krchovského z hlediska existenciálních reflexí. Cílem práce není prohlásit Krchovského za existencialistu, ale prozkoumat problematiku existenciálních tendencí v jeho poezii. Práce vychází ze základních konceptů filozofie existence, na jejichž základě vytyčuje stěžejní motivy charakteristické pro existenciální poezii. Práce rovněž postihuje pronikání existenciálních témat do oblasti české literatury, poezie především. Následně vymezuje kontext českého literárního undergroundu, na jehož pozadí Krchovský tvořil, a prostor je věnován i nejdůležitějším faktům ze života tohoto básníka. Metodou analýzy a interpretace jsou pak zkoumány podoby a uplatnění existenciálních motivů v Krchovského poezii. V souvislosti s tím je bádání podrobena i problematika básnického časoprostoru a role lyrického subjektu. V závěru práce je pozornost věnována formální a versologické stránce Krchovského poezie a postihnuty jsou i nejvýraznější změny, jimiž Krchovského tvorba prošla od přelomu 70. a 80. let.

Abstract:

In the submitted thesis is being analyzed the work of contemporary Czech poet J. H. Krchovský in terms of existential reflection. The goal is not to claim Krchovský as an existentialist, but to explore the issue of existential tendencies in his poetry. The thesis defines the basic concepts of existential philosophy and describes typical motifs of existential poetry. It also comprises the inclusion of existential themes in the field of Czech literature, expecially poetry. After defining the socio-historical context of the Czech literary underground – the actual backround of Krchovský´s writings – attention is paid to the most important facts from his life. The aplication and form of existential themes and reflections are then investigated by the method of analysis and interpretation. In relation with that there is a focus on the issue of poetic space-time and the role of the lyrical subject. Subsequently, attention is paid to formal and versological side. The actual conclusion attempts to capture the most significant changes that Krchovský underwent since the turn of the 70´s and 80´s.
