Cooperation of Midwives with Doctors during Physiological Birth - the View of Midwives.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce „Spolupráce porodních asistentek s lékaři během fyziologického porodu – pohled porodních asistentek“ poskytuje základní informace o postavení porodních asistentek pracujících na porodních sálech v České republice. Teoretická část se zabývá autonomií porodních asistentek v mezinárodním i českém kontextu, definicemi normálního a přirozeného porodu podle sdruţeních pro porodní asistentky, lékařskými definicemi porodu, aktivitami porodních asistentek při fyziologickém porodu a bondingem. Praktická část je zaměřena na získání informací o spolupráci porodních asistentek s lékaři během fyziologického porodu, zda porodní asistentky pracují v jednotlivých porodních dobách samostatně a zda chtějí pracovat samostatně v rámci svých kompetencí. K získání těchto údajů bylo vyuţito dotazníkové šetření. Výsledky jsou prezentovány pomocí tabulek a grafů. Ze získaných informací lze říci, ţe spolupráce porodních asistentek s lékaři během fyziologického porodu je na dobré úrovni.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s thesis “Cooperation of Midwives with Doctors during Physiological Birth – the View of Midwives” provides basic information on the status of midwives working in delivery rooms in the Czech Republic. The first part deals with the autonomy of midwives in the international and Czech context, definitions of a normal and natural birth according to the Association of Midwives, medical definitions of a birth, activities of midwives at a physiological birth, and bonding. The second part is focused on the collection of information on the cooperation of midwives and doctors during a physiological birth, whether midwives are self-sustaining at individual labour stages, ad whether they want more autonomy within their work scope. A questionnaire survey was used for the collection of these data. The results are presented with the use of Tables and Graphs. The collected information show that the cooperation of midwives with doctors during a physiological birth is good.
