Abstract:
Cílem práce bylo otestovat schopnost růstu na toluenu jako jediném zdroji uhlíku a energie u 33 kmenů bakterií izolovaných z kontaminovaných lokalit. Bylo zjištěno, že jen 3 kmeny byly schopné růstu na čistém toluenu. Pokud byl do média přidáván neionogenní detergent Tween zvyšující rozpustnost toluenu, byl zaznamenán růst u 19 kmenů. Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was to assess the capability of 33 bacterial strains isolated from contaminated localities to metabolize toluene as a sole source of carbon and energy. Only 3 strains were able to grow on pure toluene. When non-ionic detergent Tween was added to the medium in order to increase toluene solubility, growth of 19 bacterial strains was observed.
