Abstract:
The thesis deals with the great figure of Canadian and Czech literature - Josef Škvorecký. It tries to depict his political views in three of his works: in the novels The Engineer of Human Souls and The Miracle Game, and in his speech held in the conference named A Revolution is Usually the Worst Solution. It also analyses the picture of the emigré experience in his works.
