Bedřich Smetana : The Bartered Bride
Abstract:
Tato práce obrazově popisuje dobu Bedřicha Smetany jako dobu iluzí, očekávání, nadějí, bujarého křepčení v konfrontaci se současností – deziluze, stagnace, deprese, beznaděj, ztráta společenských hodnot. V mém zpracování jsou typizované postavy soudobé vesnice v době Bedřicha Smetany a ze současnosti. Vědomě zde pracuji s kýčem. Opírám se zde o vlastní maloměstské zážitky.
Abstract:
This work visually describes times of Bedřich Smetana as times of illusion, expectations, hopes, exuberant celebration confronting preset – disillusion, stagnation, depression, hopelessness, lack of social values. In my version of the story are standardized characters of a village in the times of Bedřich Smetana and nowadays. I work with kitsch deliberately here. I base on my own rural experience.
