Analysis of Using Social Networking Sites by Primary School Pupils

Abstract:

V této práci se autor zabývá problematikou sociálních sítí, konkrétně jejich významem v životě žáků 2. stupně základní školy. Cílem práce je zanalyzovat vztah žáků 2. stupně základní školy k sociálním sítím, tedy jaké sociální sítě využívají, z jakého důvodu, jak vnímají bezpečnost a soukromí na sociálních sítích a také jestli se domnívají, že lze sociální sítě využít během školní výuky nebo pro sebevzdělávání. Pro naplnění cílů je nejprve vymezen teoretický rámec týkající se vývoje sociálních sítí a možných rizik, které sociální sítě mají. Dále je představen konkrétní příklad nastavení soukromí na sociální síti Facebook a také seznam 15 obecných zásad pro bezpečné užívání sociálních sítí. Samotná analýza používání sociálních sítí žáky 2. stupně základní školy je provedena pomocí elektronického dotazníkového šetření, kterého se zúčastnilo 201 respondentů. Výsledky mimo jiné ukázaly, že sociální sítě jsou již běžnou součástí života žáků a že jsou žáci poměrně dobře informovaní o možných hrozbách sociálních sítí. Výstupem práce jsou tedy informace o vztahu žáků k sociálním sítím, které mohou být velmi užitečné pro rodiče, učitele nebo školní metodiky prevence.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis author deals with the issue of social networking sites, specifically their importance in lives of primary school pupils. The goal of the thesis is to analyse a relationship between primary school pupils and social networking sites, what social networking sites they use, for what reason, how they take care of security and privacy and if it is possible to use social networking sites at schools or for self-education. The theoretical part defines the term social networking sites, its history, possible risks, which social networking sites have. There is also a list of general principles for the safe use of social networking sites. The analysis of the use of social networking sites by primary school pupils is carried out by electronic questionnaire research, which was conducted by 201 pupils. The results show that social networking sites are a common part of pupils lives and that pupils are relatively well informed about possible threats of social networking sites. The output of this thesis is information about the relationship between pupils and social networking sites, which can be very useful for parents, teachers or school methodists of prevention.
