Use of Lie Detectors in Criminology

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá využíváním detektoru lži v kriminalistice a možnostmi ovlivňování výsledků. Teoretická část shrnuje nejdůležitější pojmy z oblasti dokazování, důkazů, dokazovacích prostředků a historii detektoru lži. Teoretickou část uzavírá kapitola o využití detektoru lži v České republice. Praktická část je věnována popisu polygrafu LX6, jeho součástí a samotnému měření. Cílem této práce je zjistit možnosti využití detektoru lži v kriminalistice a možnosti ovlivňování jeho výsledků za pomoci úmyslného lhaní. Dílčím cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak se fyziologické projevy liší při pravdivých odpovědí a odpovědí ovlivněných úmyslnou lží.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of lie detectors in forensics and the possibilities of influencing the results. The theoretical part summarizes the most important concepts in the field of evidence, evidence, means of proof and the history of the lie detector. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter on the use of lie detectors in the Czech Republic. The practical part is devoted to the description of the LX6 polygraph, its components and the measurement itself. The aim of this work is to find out the possibilities of using a lie detector in criminology and the possibilities of influencing its results with the help of intentional lying. The partial goal of the bachelor thesis is to find out how physiological manifestations differ in true answers and answers influenced by intentional lies.
