Laser Hardening and the Effect of the Parameters on the Resulting Mechanical Properties

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou povrchového kalení za použití diodového laseru a vlivu jednotlivých parametrů nastavení procesu na výsledné mechanické vlastnosti povrchu oceli EN C45. V úvodu teoretické části je pojednáno o možnostech tepelného zpracování slitin železa a možných způsobů povrchového kalení. Dále jsou zmíněny typy laserů a hlavní výhody a nevýhody užití této technologie. V závěru teoretické části jsou popsány některé zkoušky tvrdosti ocelí. V praktické části je popsán použitý materiál, příprava zkušebních vzorků a vyhodnocení tvrdosti a mikrotvrdosti zakalených vzorků vůči původnímu materiálu a výchozímu nastavení kalícího procesu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of surface hardening using a diode laser and the influence of individual parameters of process settings on the resulting mechanical properties of the steel surface EN C45. In introduction, the theoretical part deals with the possibilities of heat treatment of iron alloys and possible methods of surface hardening. The types of lasers and the main advantages and disadvantages of using this technology are also mentioned. At the end of the theoretical part are some hardness tests of steels described. The experimetal part describes the used material, the preparation of test samples and the evaluation of the hardness and microhardness of the hardened samples relative to the original material and the initial settings of the hardening process.
