Risks of business in tourism

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je specifikovat činnost cestovních kanceláří a určit rizika ovlivňující jejich existenci. Zhodnocení proběhne na vybraném příkladu. První část této práce se zaměřuje na samotný pojem cestovního ruchu a podniky působící v tomto odvětví. Následně jsou určeny podmínky umožňující samotné podnikání na českém území. V této části je také uveden rozdíl mezi cestovní kanceláří a cestovní agenturou, který spočívá v pravomoci těchto subjektů. Vybrané hrozby cestovního ruchu uzavírají první část této práce. Úvod analytické části se zabývá všeobecnou problematikou příslušného zákona, určujícího podmínky podnikání v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Dále dochází k hodnocení konkurenčního prostředí, v porovnání s vybranými zeměmi pro jednotlivá období. Pomocí vybraných statistických metod je zachycena vývojová řada, značící procentuální změny v počtu cestovních kanceláří působících v České republice. Na základě osobního pohovoru byla také stanovena nejzávažnější rizika ovlivňující činnost cestovních kanceláří, která jsou následně aplikována na konkrétní podnik. Konec analytické části hodnotí určená rizika a finanční výkonnost vybrané cestovní kanceláře. Ze zjištěných nedostatků vybrané cestovní kanceláře vychází část návrhová, kde jsou určeny některé návrhy sloužící k jejich zajištění. Druhý okruh slouží jako preventivní opatření pro nově vznikající cestovní kanceláře.

Abstract:

The goal of masters dissertation is focused on activities of tour operators and risks influence the existence. Evaluation takes place an example. The first part exam focuse on itself concept tourism and enterprises operating in this sector. Subsequently are specified conditions to enable business alone on Czech territory. In this part is also noted the difference between tour operator and travel agency, which consist in the powers of these entities. The selected threats of tourism conclude the first part of this work. Introduction the analytical part aplly ones mind to general the isme of the relevant law, determining business conditions in tourism. Furthermore, there is rating of competitive environment, in comparison with selected countries for each period. Using selected statistical methods is captured developmental series, indicating the percentage chase in the number of tour operators operating in the Czech republic. On the basis of personal interview was also determined the most serious risks affecting activities of tour operators, which are then applied to a specific company. The end of analytical part evaluates the identified risks and the financial performance of selected tour operator. Of the identified shortcomings of selected tour operator, where are determined some proposals serving for their secure. The second circuit serve as a preventive measure for a newly emerging tour operators.
