Factors influencing the density of bees in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Včelařství má na našem území hluboké kořeny a jeho rozvoj byl a stále je podporován. Momentálně je v kontextu tohoto oboru velice diskutována hustota zavčelení, kde je jako výrazný problém vnímán širokou veřejností celkový úbytek včel v krajině, a proto vznikají i tendence početní stavy chovaných včelstev navyšovat. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na faktory ovlivňující hustotu zavčelení v České republice, které jsou v rámci diplomové práce identifikovány jako formování včelařství z hlediska historie našeho území, ale také jako vnější prostředí včel zahrnující včelí pastvu, klimatické podmínky, změny v krajině a pesticidy. Do těchto faktorů jsou dále zařazeny také podpůrná opatření a nemoci a škůdci včel. Na závěr je poskytnuto celkové shrnutí všech těchto faktorů a diskuze jejich dílčích dopadů, rozsahu a síly působení na hustotu zavčelení.

Abstract:

Beekeeping has deep roots in our territory and its development has been and still is supported. Currently, in the context of this field, the bee density (number of colonies/km2) is widely discussed, where the general loss of bees in the region is generally perceived as a significant problem by the public, and therefore there is a tendency to increase the number of farmed hives. The diploma thesis focuses on factors influencing the bee density in the Czech Republic, which are identified in the thesis as the formation of beekeeping in terms of the history of our territory, but also as the external environment of bees including bee grazing, climatic conditions, landscape changes and pesticides. These factors also include supportive measures and bee diseases and pests. Finally, an overall summary of all these factors is provided, as same as discussion of their partial impacts, the extent and strength of the effect on the bee density.
