Včelařství má na našem území hluboké kořeny a jeho rozvoj byl a stále je podporován. Momentálně je v kontextu tohoto oboru velice diskutována hustota zavčelení, kde je jako výrazný problém vnímán širokou veřejností celkový úbytek včel v krajině, a proto vznikají i tendence početní stavy chovaných včelstev navyšovat.
