Human Rights in China´s African Policy

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou významu problematiky lidských práv v zahraniční politice Číny v Africe. Jejím cílem je zhodnotit význam této problematiky ve vzájemných vztazích Číny a Afriky, a perspektivu proměny významu lidských práv v dalším vývoji těchto vztahů. Práce zkoumá, jak se specifický čínský postoj k problematice lidských práv projevuje v její zahraniční politice v Africe, a jaké dopady má na jejich vzájemné vztahy. Dále odhaduje, jak se s dalším vývojem těchto vztahů čínský přístup k problematice lidských práv promění. Nejprve je v práci analyzována problematika lidských práv a mezinárodního režimu jejich ochrany. Poté je zkoumán zvláštní africký i čínský postoj k problematice lidských práv. Dále práce analyzuje čínskou zahraniční politiku, a promítání problematiky lidských práv do této politiky. Poté se již věnuje samotným vztahům mezi Čínou a Afrikou, a hledá v nich význam problematiky lidských práv. Nakonec se práce věnuje proměnám čínského přístupu k problematice lidských práv v Africe.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of the importance of human rights issues in China's foreign policy in Africe. Its aim is to assess the importance of this issue in relations between China and Africa, and the perspective of changes of its importance in the further development of these relations. The thesis examines, how the Chinese stance on human rights is reflected in its foreign policy in Africa, and what impacts on their relations it has. In addition, it estimates how the further development influences Chinese approach to the issue of human rights. At first, the work analyzed the human rights issue and the International human rights regime. Then it studied the special African and Chinese stance on the issue of human rights. Further it analyzed Chinese foreign policy, and the projecting of the human rights issue into the foreign policy. Then the work analyzed the relations between China and Africa, and the significance of human rights issue in it. Finally, the thesis deals with the changing of the Chinese approach to human rights in Africa.
