Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá použitím reduplikativních binomiálních výrazů v angličtině.V rámci této bakalářské práce budou tyto výrazy shromážděny a klasifikovány a následně podrobeny lingvistické analýze. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, první z nich obsahuje teoretický základ a klasifikaci reduplikativních výrazů dle různých kritérií. V druhé část jsou tyto poznatky aplikovány na korpus reduplikativních výrazů, který je posuzován z morfologického, lexikologického a sémantického pohledu. Cílem práce je popsat roli reduplikativních výrazů v současné angličtině a poskytnout východiska pro další výzkum v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on reduplicatives expressions used in English. The main aim is to collect, classify and analyse these words. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains the theoretical background and the classification of reduplicative expressions according to different criteria. The other part is concerned with the list of reduplicatives which has been collected, and those reduplicatives are analysed from lexicological, morphological and semantic point of view. The thesis illustrates the role of reduplicative expressions in current English and its finding might provide support for further research in this area.
