Evaluation of the Enterprise Competitiveness Based on Financial Analysis

Abstract:

The subject of the master´s thesis „Evaluation of the Enterprise Competitiveness Based on Financial Analysis“ is the evaluation of an enterprise unit using the selected methods and practices of financial analysis. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the competitiveness of the division on both a local and international scale with the objective to identify the areas for improvement, and to define the possible actions that can have a positive impact on the competitiveness of the selected enterprise unit. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the scope of the competitiveness evaluation performed later on, as well as terms and approaches used. The practical part of the thesis is focused on evaluating the competitiveness of a selected business unit, using the financial analysis and methods previously mentioned. In conclusion, the thesis takes a stand on the competitiveness of the enterprise unit and aims to define recommendations leading to an increase in unit´s competitiveness.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce „Hodnocení konkurenceschopnosti podniku s použitím finanční analýzy“ je analýza konkurencieschopnosti vybranej podnikovej divízie prostredníctvom zvolených metód a postupov. Cieľom práce je zhodnotenie konkurencieschopnosti podnikovej divízie v lokálnom a nadnárodnom merítku so snahou identifikovať prípadný priestor na zlepšenie, poskytnúť vedeniu divízie cenné informácie o konkurenčnej pozícií divízie a odporučiť opatrenia pozitívne vplývajúce na jej konkurencieschopnosť. Teoretická časť práce definuje rámec pre praktické zhodnotenie konkurencieschopnosti prostredníctvom predstavenia používaných pojmov, prístupov a metód hodnotenia. Praktická časť práce hodnotí konkurencieschopnosť vybranej divízie pomocou finančnej analýzy prostredníctvom nadefinovaných postupov. Záverom práce je vyslovenie tvrdenia o konkurencieschopnosti divízie a formulácia odporučení pre zlepšenie jej konkurenčného postavenia.
