Evaluation of clients worthiness in connection with credit risk management

Abstract:

Hlavni problematikou této bakalářské práce je hodnocení bonity klienta v návaznosti na řízení úvěrového rizika v oblasti bankovnictví. Smyslem práce je popsání teoretických zásad vztahujících k úvěrovému riziku. Problematika práce je odražená jak na úrovni právní úpravy, tak i na úrovni interní úvěrové politiky jednotlivých bank. První polovina této práce akcentuje pozornost na finanční rizika a zejména riziko úvěrové, které bude popsáno z různých uhlů pohledu, včetně způsobů jeho řízení, omezování a regulace. Druhá polovina se zabývá metodologickými postupy bank při zahájení úvěrového procesu a spíš praktičtějšími aspekty, tykající se oceňování bonity klienta, kterým banky věnuji svoji pozornost. Jsou zmíněny ratingové agentury a úvěrové registry. V předposlední kapitole jsou popsané interní přístupy řízení úvěrového rizika čtyř největších bank působících v ČR. A konečna část práce charakterizuje současné trendy na trhu úvěrů s důrazem na nejvýznamnější segmenty.

Abstract:

The main thesis of this bachelor work is problems related to an evaluation of clients worthiness in the light of credit risk management in the banking sphere. The main idea is a description of theoretical bases related to the area of credit risks. Issues raised in this work are described on the legislation level and on the level of internal banking policy. The first half of this work focuses its attention on financial risks and mainly credit risk, which is unraveled from different points of view, including the way of managing, reduction of credit risk and its regulation. Another half deals with methodological procedures performed by banks in the process of lending and with some more practical aspects related to the clients worthiness evaluation, which banks are concerned about. Rating agencies and credit registers are mentioned too. The penultimate chapter describes internal policies of credit risk management, which are used by four biggest banks in the Czech Republic. And the last part is dedicated to real trends on the lending market with the emphasis on the most important parts of it.
