Biofilm je komunita bakterií přisedlá k povrchu a obklopená extracelulární hmotou, kterou si sama aktivně vytváří. Tento způsob života činí bakterie odolnější k antimikrobiálním prostředkům a způsobuje řadu obtíží ve zdravotnictví. Proto je snaha najít vhodné prostředky pro jeho eradikaci. Abstract:
A biofilm is a community of sessile bacteria on the surface and surrounded by extracellular matrix, which is produced by bacteria themselves. This way of life makes bacteria resistant to antimicrobial agents and causes many problems in the health care. Therefore, there is an effort to find a suitable means for its eradication.
