Lexical and stilistic figures in book "Sommerhaus, später" by Judith Hermann

Abstract:

My thesis called „Lexikalische und stilistische Figuren im Buch Sommerhaus, später von Judith Hermann“ is focused on the definition and on the searching for lexical and stylistic figures in the book written by Judith Hermann, „Sommerhaus, später“ and in its Czech version “Letní dům, později”, which was translated by Kateřina Hůlková. This piece of work is divided into three parts. The first part concentrates on the definitions of basic stylistic terms, which involved also lexical and stylistic figures. In the second part I was dealing with these issues from the practical point of view. In the survey there are mentioned lexical and stylistic figures, which Judith Hermann used in her book and there are also their Czech equivalents, respectively the other variations, which the translator used to achieve the most authentic translation. The number and the frequency of utilized figures are represented in the well arranged chart which is followed by summary. We may not forget the author herself, the information and points of interest about her life, her creation and about her opinions, which you can find in the third part of my thesis.

Diplomová práce s názvem „Lexikalische und stilistische Figuren im Buch Sommerhaus, später von Judith Hermann“ se zaměřuje na definici a vyhledávání lexikálních a stylistických figur v knize německé autorky Judith Hermann, „Sommerhaus, später“ a v její české verzi „Letní dům, později“, kterou přeložila Kateřina Hůlková. Tato práce je koncipována do tří částí. První část se zaměřuje na definice základních stylistických pojmů, mezi nimiž nechybí ani lexikální a stylistické figury. Ve druhé části se zabývám touto problematikou z praktického hlediska. V přehledu jsou uvedeny lexikální a stylistické figury, které Judith Hermann v knize použila a jejich české ekvivalenty, popř. jiné variace, kterými překladatelka docílila co nejautentičtějšího překladu. Počet a frekvence použitých figur jsou následně znázorněny v přehledné tabulce, po které následuje shrnutí. V této práci nesmíme zapomínat na autorku samotnou, informace a zajímavosti o jejím životě, tvorbě a názorech nalezneme v třetí části práce.
