Marking of escape routes in schools for evacuation needs of persons with reduced mobility

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je návrh úpravy značení únikových cest v budově pro teoretické vyučování Střední školy stavební a dřevozpracující na ul. U Studia 33 v Ostravě-Zábřehu. Úpravy jsou navrhovány v souladu se zajištěním podmínek užívání osobami s omezenou schopností pohybu a orientace, včetně implementace těchto úprav do směrnice školy o bezpečnosti a ochraně zdraví při práci a požární ochraně. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do tří celků. První je teoretický. Uvádí fakta, základní pojmy a popisuje evakuaci v širších souvislostech. Ve druhém je představena modelová škola, jsou zde popisována konkrétní místa a skutečnosti, jež se týkají evakuace budovy pro teoretické vyučování. Rozborem a analýzou stávajícího stavu bylo poukázáno na nedostatky, které souvisí s budovou školy a její případnou evakuací. Opatření, odstraňující zmíněné nedostatky, jsou součástí jednotlivých kapitol. Třetí celek diplomové práce je didaktický, který zajišťuje implementaci předchozích dvou částí do výuky. Součástí tohoto celku je zpráva o~ověřovacím experimentu, stanovení a ověření hypotéz, tvorba metodické příručky pro učitele a evaluační dotazník. Cílem práce bylo minimalizovat rizika vyskytující se při evakuaci školy za mimořádných událostí a zvýšení kvality a dostupnosti vzdělávacích příležitostí pro osoby se zdravotním omezením.

Abstract:

The subject of this Diploma Thesis is to design a modification of escape routes marking in the building for theoretical classes at Building and Woodworking High School on the street U Studia 33 in Ostrava?Zábřeh. Adjustments are designed in accordance with the provision of the conditions of use by persons with limited mobility and orientation, including the implementation of these changes to School Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Protection Directive. The Thesis is divided into three parts. The first one is theoretical. There are given the facts, the basic concepts and there is described the evacuation in a broader context. In the second one, there is presented exemplary school, are described specific places and facts concerning the evacuation of the building for theoretical classes. By analysis of the current situation there was pointed to shortcomings relating to the school building and its eventual evacuation. Measures eliminating mentioned shortcomings are part of each chapter. The third part of the Thesis is didactic, which ensures the implementation of the previous two parts into teaching. It includes a report on the verification experiment, determination and verification of the hypotheses, creating a methodical manual for teachers and evaluation questionnaire. The aim of the Thesis was to minimize the risks occurring during the school evacuation for emergencies and to improve the quality and accessibility of learning opportunities for people with physical limitations.
