Synthesis and characterization of sterically crowded anilines

Abstract:

V teoretické části jsou popsány obecné vlastnosti a přípravy stericky náročných anilinů a jejich možné využití v oblastech koordinační chemie. V experimentální části je popsána příprava nových 2,6-bis(1,1-diarylethyl)anilinů a 2,6-bis(trityl)anilinů, charakterizace pomocí NMR spektroskopie a rentgenové difrakční analýzy. V diskuzi byly pak porovnány strukturní parametry připravených sloučenin s literaturou. Nově připravené aniliny výrazně překročily běžné hodnoty tzv. mrtvých objemů dosud publikovaných stericky náročných anilinů.

Abstract:

The theoretical part describes the general properties and preparations of sterically demanding anilines and their possible use in the field of the coordination chemistry. The experimental part describes the preparation of new 2,6-bis(1,1-diarylethyl)anilines and 2,6-bis(trityl)anilines, characterization by the NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. In the discussion, the structural parameters of the prepared compounds were compared with the literature. The newly prepared anilines significantly exceeded the normal values of the so-called buried volumes of sterically demanding anilines published so far.
