Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo analyzovat vývoj a trendy v oblasti platebních metod a porozumět změnám v preferencích spotřebitelů v České republice. Výzkum byl prováděn na území České republiky a zaměřoval se na preferenci platebních metod. Data byla sbírána prostřednictvím sběru primárních dat z dotazníkového šetření. Výsledky ukazují na zřejmý trend směrem k digitalizaci platebních systémů v České republice. V posledních deseti letech došlo k výraznému nárůstu popularity digitálních platebních metod. Zároveň se preference spotřebitelů v oblasti platebních metod liší v závislosti na demografických faktorech. Rozhodování spotřebitelů mezi hotovostními a bezhotovostními platbami je ovlivněno komplexním souborem faktorů. Klíčové faktory zahrnují rychlost a pohodlí provedené platby, dostupnost platebních metod, technologický vývoj, výši plateb a druh nakupovaného zboží či služby. Limitace tohoto výzkumu spočívají v omezeném vzorku respondentů a možných zkresleních při vyplňování dotazníků, stejně jako v zaměření dotazníku pouze na omezený počet faktorů ovlivňujících preference spotřebitelů. Existují i další faktory, které mohly ovlivnit výsledky, jež v této studii nebyly zohledněny. Přestože tato práce má svá omezení, poskytuje cenný přínos pro pochopení vývoje a trendů v oblasti platebních metod v České republice, které mohou být užitečné pro obchodníky a poskytovatele platebních služeb.

Abstract:

The aim of this research was to analyse the development and trends in payment methods and to understand the changes in consumer preferences in the Czech Republic. The research was conducted in the Czech Republic and focused on payment method preferences. Data was collected through primary data collection from a questionnaire survey. The results show a trend towards digitalisation of payment systems in the Czech Republic. In the last ten years there has been a significant increase in the popularity of digital payment methods. At the same time, consumer preferences for payment methods vary depending on demographic factors. Consumers' decisions between cash and non-cash payments are influenced by a complex set of factors. Key factors include the speed and convenience of the payment, the availability of payment methods, technological developments, the amount of payments and the type of goods or services purchased. The limitations of this research lie in the limited sample of respondents and potential biases in completing the questionnaires, as well as the focus of the questionnaire on only a limited number of factors influencing consumer preferences. There are other factors that may have influenced the results that were not considered in this study. Although this work has its limitations, it provides a valuable contribution to understanding developments and trends in payment methods in the Czech Republic that may be useful to merchants and payment service providers.
