Abstract:
Předmětem této bakalářské práce jsou slovní složeniny plnící funkci podstatných jmen ve větě a jejich status idiomatických spojení. Teoretická část představí veškeré slovotvorné procesy v anglickém jazyce, přičemž největší prostor je věnován slovním kompozitům. V praktické části je představen korpus složenin a jejich status idiomatických spojení bude potvrzen či vyvrácen.Abstract:
The thesis concentrates on compound nouns and their status of idiomatic expressions. The theoretical part presents all English word-formation processes, however, the major focus is put on compounds and compounding. In the practical part, the corpus of compound nouns is presented and their status of idiomatic expressions will be approved or rejected.
