Constructing timetables at the elementary school

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je matematické modelování k usnadnění sestavení rozvrhů výuky na druhém stupni základní školy. První kapitola je věnována popisu vstupních dat a jejich nutným úpravám. Druhá kapitola obsahuje popis přiřazovacího problému se dvěma indexy, jako nástroje matematického modelování vhodného pro tvorbu rozvrhů, který je následně pro účely sestavení rozvrhů výuky rozšířen na 6 indexů. Ve třetí kapitole je podrobně popsán celý matematický model pro sestavení rozvrhů. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována popisu dosažených výsledků a jejich úpravě do podoby, ze které lze na první pohled vyčíst výsledky. Také jsou v této kapitole popsány možnosti, jakými by se dal model ještě vylepšit. Kompletní model formulovaný v programu MPL for Windows a všechny výsledky jsou uvedeny v přílohách. K práci je rovněž přiložen soubor MS Excel se vstupními daty a výsledky, a také soubor MPL for Windows s formulací matematického modelu.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is mathematical modelling, which facilitates constructing timetables for the last 4 grades at the elementary school. The first chapter is dedicated to the description of input data and their necessary adjustments. The second chapter describes the assignment problem with two indexes as a tool of mathematical modelling appropriate for constructing timetables. The assignment problem is subsequently enlarged to 6 indexes. The third chapter describes the whole mathematical model for constructing timetables. The forth chapter describes the results and their adjustments to the form which enables readers to see results at the first sight. This chapter also describes possibilities of improving the model. Complete model formulated in MPL for Windows and all its results are in attachments of this thesis. The MPL for Windows file with the formula of mathematical model and the MS Excel file with input data and results are also attached to the thesis.
