Language Games and Activities in French Lessons Creating a Collection of Games and Activities Suitable for the Czech Milieu

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the involvement of entertaining language activities in the French classes as one of the efficient methods of language learning. The aim was to find out the advantages and disadvantages of this method and its practical use in the language lessons. It was necessary to define the term ?game?, to assess its place in the pedagogy and to examine its particularities in the teaching practice. The findings of a research on which teachers of Czech grammar schools participated are involved in this thesis. The research focused on how the language games were used and approached by the teachers in the French lessons. A file of language games is included in the end of this work.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá praktickým využitím zábavných aktivit ve výuce francouzského jazyka, jako jednou z účinných metod výuky a učení se. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jaké jsou klady a zápory této metody a jaké jsou možnosti jejího využití v praxi. K dosažení cíle bylo nutné definovat pojem hra, určit její postavení v pedagogice a zkoumat zvláštnosti jejího použití v praxi. Součástí práce jsou výsledky výzkumu, kterého se zúčastnili vyučující francouzského jazyka na českých gymnáziích. Jeho cílem bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem jsou hry v hodinách francouzštiny používány a jaký postoj k nim vyučující zaujímají. V závěru práce je připojena složka her.
