Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zdaněním finančních institucí v České republice i v rámci Evropské unie a nabízí mezinárodní srovnání. V první části se zabývá vývojem korporátního zdanění a definuje finanční instituce. V druhé představuje specifika zdanění finančních institucí v České republice. Třetí část se věnuje evropské harmonizaci zdanění a ukazuje na možná celoevropská řešení. Ve čtvrté části jsou analyzována specifika zdanění finančních institucí ve vybraných zemích. Pátá část představuje analýzu zdanění vybraných finančních institucí napříč třemi zeměmi a nabízí i mezinárodní srovnání. Šestá část se věnuje vlivu zavedení daně z nadměrných zisků na konkrétní banky. V závěru jsou shrnuty jednotlivé části a zhodnocen současný daňový model.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the financial institution taxation in the Czech Republic and within the European Union and offers an international comparison. The first part shows the development of corporate taxation and defines financial institutions. The second part presents the specifics of taxation of financial institutions in the Czech Republic. The third part is devoted to the European harmonization of taxation and points to possible pan-European solutions. The fourth part analyses the specifics of financial institution taxation in selected countries. The fifth part presents an analysis of the financial institution taxation across three countries and offers international comparation. The sixth part is devoted to the effect of the introduction of a windfall tax for specific banks. In the conclusion, the individual parts are summarized, and the current tax model is evaluated.
