Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá deportací trestanců do Austrálie. První kapitola se podrobněji zabývá koncem deportací do Ameriky a jeho vlivem na Británii. Další část přináší podrobnější pohled na úsek dějin mezi léty 1775-1778, kdy Británie musela najít novou trestaneckou destinaci, aby vyhověla tlaku, pod kterým se v té době nacházela Britská vláda. Hlavní část této práce se zaměřuje na První Flotilu, cestu, příjezd do Austrálie, první osidlování a domorodce. Poslední část této práce se zaměřuje na vzdělání v Austrálii, hlavně na výklad a zařazení této doby do školního vyučování. Také se zaměřuje na nejvíce probíranou otázku dneška - byla to invaze nebo kolonizace?

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the penal transportation to Australia. Chapter one takes a close look at the end of deportations to America and its effect on Britain. Chapter two discusses in more detail about the period from 1775-1778 when Britain had to find a new penal destination to release the pressure under which the British government was facing at the time. Chapter three and four, the main part of this thesis, focuses on the First Fleet, the journey, arrival to Australia, first settlement and the Aboriginals. The last part of this thesis, chapter 5, looks at the education in Australia especially in regard to how this era is included in history lessons. It also looks at the most debated question of recent years, whether it was an invasion or colonisation.
