Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá ortografií tisku Brus jazyka českého, který sepsal jezuitský kněz Jiří Konstanc. Text vyšel nákladem jezuitské akademické tiskárny v roce 1667. Ve své gramatice Jiří Konstanc zachycuje obraz češtiny tzv. střední doby. Při formulování vlastních pouček přihlíží k úzu veleslavínské češtiny, pokud však tento úzus považuje za zastaralý, formuluje svá vlastní pravidla. Pro zpracování vlastního tématu jsem vyšla z edice jazykového materiálu, který jsem pořídila ve formě transliterace. Analýza tisku je rozdělena do několika kapitol podle probíraných pravopisných jevů. V úvodu každé kapitoly je vždy srovnán výklad Jiřího Konstance s výklady jiných představitelů soudobé gramatografické produkce (Václav Jan Rosa, Václav Matěj Štejer). Tento výklad je následně srovnán s výsledky analýzy samotného tisku. Cílem je prokázat, zda a popř. do jaké míry se tiskaři či sazeči textu této významné gramatiky drželi výkladu Jiřího Konstance. Brus jazyka českého vznikl mimo jiné jako reakce na přemíru chybování v tiscích tzv. střední doby.

Abstract:

This Master´s Diploma Thesis focuses on a Baroque grammar with the title Brus jazyka českého and its orthography. The author was a Jesuit monk Jiří Konstanc. This linguistic work of his was published by the Jesuit academic printing office in 1667. In the book Jiří Konstanc provides a depiction of the Czech language in the Baroque period. While formulating his own rules, Konstanc considers the language usage of the Czech language in the late Renaissance period. However, when he finds this old language usage as obsolete, he turns to the contemporary one. To be able to make a thorough analysis I transcribed the whole text turning every single sign from the old scripts into the modern ones. The analysis is divided into several chapters. At the beginning of each chapter I compare the rules of Jiří Konstanc referring to selected orthographical phenomena with the interpretations of other contemporary linguists (Václav Jan Rosa, Vácalv Matěj Štejer). Consequently, these interpretations are compared with the results of the actual analysis and conclusions are made. The aim is to find out whether the pressmen and the proofreaders took the rules of Jiří Konstanc into consideration and if so, to what extent.
