Abstract:

Sociální a individuální kognice a chování jsou úzce propojeny. Schopnosti, které nám umožňují zapojit se do interakce, byly z velké části studovány s účastníky v izolaci a často jsou individuální rozdíly ignorovány. V současném stavu je neurověda dobře vybavena k vývoji a používání metod, které mohou sloužit k dalšímu pochopení těchto schopností. V této disertační práci uvádím výsledky na různých úrovních organizace sociálního chování. Na individuální úrovni odhaluje analýza latentního profilu vzorce individuálních rozdílů, které ovlivňují sociální chování. Ve dvojicích, duální fMRI a skupinová analýza nezávislých komponentů demonstrují hodnotu interaktivních úkolů k potvrzení role, kterou hrají oblasti mozku spojené se sociálním kognicí a chováním. Nakonec na skupinové úrovni sledujeme, jak jednoduchá pravidla vytvářejí prostředí pro vznik společenských norem. Tyto studie zdůrazňují vznikající složitost sociální interakce a základní principy, které za ní stojí.

Abstract:

Social and individual cognition and behavior are tightly intertwined. The faculties that allow us to engage in interaction have been largely studied with participants in isolation and often, individual differences go ignored. In its current state neuroscience is well equipped to develop and employ methods that can serve to further our understanding of those faculties. In this dissertation I present results at different levels of organization of social behavior. At the individual level, latent profile analysis reveals patterns of individual differences that affect social behavior. In pairs, dual-fMRI and group Independent Component Analysis demonstrate the value of interactive tasks to confirm the role played by brain areas tied to social cognition and behavior. Finally, at the group level, we observe how simple rules set the scene for the emergence of social norms. These studies highlight the emergent complexity of social interaction and the basic principles behind it.
