Computational tools in EEG/ERP portal

Abstract:

The main goal of this diploma thesis is the integration of an EEG signal processing library to the EEG/ERP portal. This portal serves as a storage of experimental data and metadata, and this integration provides the computational tools to users of this portal. The signal processing library includes the methods for detection of P300 waves in EEG signal (Matching Pursuit method, Discrete and Continuous Wavelet transformation, and Fast Fourier transformation). The first part of this diploma thesis includes the theory of EEG and ERP, and the description of INCF national nodes. The second part describes the technology of web services as one possibility to integrate the library. The last part describes the integration itself and includes the tests.

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je integrace knihovny pro zpracování EEG signálů do EEG/ERP portálu. Tento portál slouží jako úložiště experimentálních dat a metadat. Tato integrace poskytne uživatelům výpočetní nástroje. Knihovna pro zpracování signálů obsahuje metody pro detekci komponenty P300 v EEG signálu (Matching Pursuit, Diskrétní a Spojitá Waveletová transformace, Fast Fourierova transformace). První část diplomové práce popisuje EEG a evokované potenciály, dále popisuje INCF národní uzly. Druhá část se zabývá technologií webových služeb jako možností, jak integrovat knihovnu. Poslední část popisuje způsob integrace a testování.
