Detailed analysis of macroeconomic aggregates during the crisis: application to V4 countries

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat vývoj makroekonomických agregátů v průběhu nedávné hospodářské krize v zemích Visegradské skupiny. Země V4, tedy Česká republika, Slovensko, Maďarsko a Polsko, jsou středoevropské země, které mají mnoho společných charakteristik. Je otázkou, zda tyto společné faktory v krizi působily na jejich hospodářský vývoj nebo byl vývoj odlišný. Analyzovanými agregáty jsou hrubý domácí produkt a všechny jeho složky, inflace a vybrané složky cenového indexu, a v poslední řadě nezaměstnanost a ostatní charakteristiky trhu práce. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole jsou teoreticky vymezeny pojmy, se kterými se nadále pracuje. Druhá až čtvrtá kapitola je věnována vždy jednomu agregátu. V závěru každé kapitoly je uvedeno shrnutí a vzájemné porovnání vývoje daného agregátu mezi zeměmi V4.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the development of macroeconomic aggregates during recent economic crisis in the countries of the Visegrad group. V4 countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, are the Central European countries, which have many common characteristics. The question is whether these common factors influenced on their economic development in the crisis or the development was different. The aggregates to analyse are gross domestic product and all its components, inflation and some of components of price index, and unemployment and other characteristics of labour market. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical terms are clarified. The second to fourth chapters are focused on each one aggregates. At the end of each chapter is a summary and comparison of the development of the aggregate between the V4 countries.
