Child groups as a tool for reconciling work and private life?

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Dětská skupina jako nástroje slaďování soukromého a pracovního života? se zaměřuje na problematiku rodinné politiky v České republiky. Konkrétní cíl této práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem prezentují a spojují vybrané mediální články o dětských skupinách navrhovaný zákon se slaďováním soukromého a pracovního života a jakým způsobem to podporuje genderovou rovnost. Jako pracovní metoda byla zvolena diskursivní analýza dle Geeho, díky které dochází ke zkoumání sociální reality a ovlivňování řešení aktuálních sociálních problémů. Celistvě je na tuto problematiku nahlíženo z pohledu feministických perspektiv dle Judith Squires, které se s postupem času určitým způsobem vyvíjejí a proměňují. Teoretický rámec práce tvoří koncept slaďování rodinného a pracovního života, vysvětlení základních pojmů problematiky, kontextuální zakotvení možností předškolní péče v České republice a objasnění genderových perspektiv. Dále popsaná metodologie práce napomáhá ke zjištění, že většina článku podporuje genderové stereotypy, ale na druhou stranu pracuje s problematikou slaďování soukromého a pracovního života se zaměřením na ženy. Z pohledu principu diference podle Judith Squires, dochází díky dětským skupinám k lepšímu zařazení žen zpět na trh práce po mateřské nebo rodičovské dovolené, tudíž dochází k pozitivnímu vlivu na slaďování rodinného a pracovního života, ale také k reprodukci genderových stereotypů.

Abstract:

The thesis Child group as a tool to reconciling of private and work life? focuses on issues of family policy in the Czech Rebublic. The specific purpose of this thesis is to find out, how chosen media articles about child groups present and connect proposed law with the reconciling of private and work life and how it supports gender equality. As a working method was chosen discourse analysis by Gee, which is due to examine the social reality and influencing of solving of current social problems. The thesis views in these issues from the feminist perspectives by Judith Squires, which are developer and transform with time. The theoretical framework of the thesis is formed by concept of reconciling of family and work life, explanation of main concepts of issues, contextual embedding of options of preschool care in the Czech republic and clarification of gender perspectives. The methodology decribed below helps to fading out, that most of articles support gender stereotypes, but on the other han dis working with issues of reconciling of priváte and work life with a focus on women. From the perspective of the principle of diference by Judith Squires, children's groups are due to better integration of women to the labor market after maternity or parental leave, therefore, it causes a positive effect on reconciling of work and family life, but also the reproduction of gender stereotypes.
