Software protection for users against mobile malware

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes mobile malware as an actual trend in mobile devices environment. In the theoretical part, there is a description of latest news and status of mobile malware, there is comparison of security of two the most used mobile operation systems and conclude information about distribution and taxonomy of mobile malware. At the end of the theoretical part, there are suggestions for safety using of mobile devices in personal and business environment. In the practical part of the thesis there are described main functions of antivirus applications designed for mobile devices and compared security function offered between different applications.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá mobilným malware ako súčasným trendom na mobilných zariadeniach. V teoretickej časti sa zameriava na popis súčasného stavu mobilného malware, porovnáva bezpečnosť dvoch najpoužívanejších mobilných operačných systémov a zhŕňa poznatky o distribúcii a taxonómii mobilného malware. V závere teoretickej časti sú uvedené bezpečnostné odporúčania pre používanie mobilných zariadení v súkromnom i pracovnom prostredí. V praktickej časti práca popisuje základné funkcie antivírusových aplikácii pre mobilné zariadenia a porovnáva medzi sebou typy ponúkaných funkcií medzi konkurenčnými aplikáciami.
