Surrogate Motherhood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o stále populárnější možnosti surogačního (náhradního) mateřství jak u nás, tak v jiných zemích. Práce je složena z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část vysvětluje pojem náhradní mateřství, jeho rozdělení a jeho právní úpravu. Poukazuje na náhradní matku jakožto na jedinečnou šanci pro ženy, které ze zdravotních důvodů samy dítě odnosit či porodit nemohou, ale také neopomíjí etické a psychologické dopady na účastníky tohoto procesu. Praktická část analyzuje kvalitativní výzkumné šetření mezi porodními asistentkami pracujícími na porodním sále. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit názor porodních asistentek na možnost surogačního mateřství.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is about the increasingly popular option of surrogate motherhood, both in the Czech Republic and in other countries. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part explains the concept of surrogate motherhood, its division and its legislation. It refers to a surrogate mother as a unique chance for women who cannot carry a baby to term or deliver it themselves because of medical reasons, while also examining the ethical and psychological effects on the participants of this process. The practical part analyses qualitative research among midwives working in delivery rooms. The aim of the practical part was to discover what midwives think about the option of surrogate motherhood.
