Inventory of old and regional apple varieties in a selected locality of the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area

Abstract:

Základem diplomové práce je inventarizace a následná determinace starých a krajových odrůd jabloní ve vybraných katastrálních územích daného regionu. Byla zhodnocena jejich udržitelnost a další využití v rámci rajonizačních aspektů. Nejprve jsem zjistil nároky a ekologické faktory ovlivňující růst a vývoj ovocných dřevin na trvalém stanovišti, které jsou v přímé souvislosti na druhovou rajonizaci. Práce se zabývá dřevinami z 60. let minulého století a staršími, tedy výhradně staršími odrůdami. Následně jsem se zaměřil na hospodářské, růstové a zdravotní znaky, zejména na parametry tykající se odrůdy, biometrických údajů, celkového zdravotního stavu, stáří nalezených stromů, atraktivnosti plodů a velikosti sklizně u všech nalezených odrůd. Tyto aspekty byly porovnány s možnými změnami ekologických faktorů v průběhu od juvenilního stádia, plné plodnosti, do nynějšího stavu. Poté jsem vyhodnotil nalezený sortiment po stránce vhodnosti a budoucího využití pro vybraný region či lokalitu. Současně byla provedena fotodokumentace nalezených odrůd, která je vložena v sekci Přílohy. Všechny výsledky jsou řádně zpracovány.

Abstract:

The basis of the diploma thesis is the inventory and subsequent determination of old and regional apple varieties in selected cadastral areas of the region. Their sustainability and further use within the zoning aspects were evaluated. First, I found out the demands and ecological factors influencing the growth and development of fruit trees in a permanent habitat, which are directly related to species zoning. The work deals with woody plants from the 1960 s and older, is exclusively older varieties. Subsequently, I focused on economic, growth and health characteristics, especially on the parameters related to the variety, biometric data, overall health, age of the trees found, fruit attractiveness and harvest size for all varieties found. These aspects were compared with possible changes in ecological factors over the course of the juvenile stage, full fertility to the present state. Then I evaluated the found assortment in terms of suitability and future use for the selected region or locality. At the same time, photo documentation of the found varieties was performed, which is included in the Attachments section. All results are properly processed.
