Old age as a social event with a focus on pension insurance

Abstract:

Stáří a jeho dopady na jedince i na společnost je v posledních letech velice aktuální téma. Demografické stárnutí přináší nemalé sociální i ekonomické důsledky, z nichž nejmarkantnější jsou dopady na systémy důchodového pojištění. V diplomové práci se zabýváme problematikou stárnutí a stáří, popisujeme důchodové systémy podle různých kritérií. Dále nastiňujeme situaci v oblasti důchodů v Evropě a popisujeme penzijní systém v České republice, jeho vývoj a současný stav. Na závěr teoretické části popisujeme možnosti důchodové reformy a její pravděpodobnou podobu. Cílem výzkumné části práce bylo zjistit, jaká je informovanost a jaké jsou postoje lidí v produktivním věku k současné situaci v důchodové problematice a zmapovat situaci současných důchodců z hlediska finančního zabezpečení a spokojenosti s životní úrovní. Výzkum byl proveden dvěma dotazníkovými šetřeními mezi respondenty v produktivním a důchodovém věku. V závěru práce jsme shrnuli výsledky výzkumu a zhodnotili současný stav důchodové reformy.

Abstract:

Old age and its impact on individuals and on society has become a very current topic in recent years. Population aging poses significant social and economic consequences, out of which the impact on pension insurance system is the most pronounced. In the thesis we deal with the issues of aging and old age itself and we also describe pension systems according to various criteria. Furthermore we sketch the situation in the area of pensions in Europe and we describe the pension system of the Czech Republic as well - its history and current state. In conclusion, we describe the theoretical possibility of pension reform and its supposed form. The aim of the research was to find the current state of the awareness of and the attitude of people in productive age towards the current situation in pension issues, and map the current situation of pensioners in terms of their pension security and contentment with standard of living. The research carries out via two questionnaire surveys among respondents of productive age and pensioners. In conclusion, we summarize the results of the research and assess the current condition of pension reform.
