The peroxiredoxin family protein DsrE in sulfur-oxidizing bacteria
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis was dedicated to preparing and optimizing the expression of a recombinant DsrE protein from the bacterium Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. The protein is part of the dissimilatory pathway responsible for sulfite reduction in the metabolism of sulfur-oxidizing acidophilic microorganisms. Táto bakalárska práca sa venovala príprave a optimalizácii expresie rekombinantného proteínu DsrE z baktérie Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans. Proteín je súčasťou disimilačnej dráhy zodpovednej za redukciu siričitanu v metabolizme acidofilných mikroorganizmov oxidujúcich síru.
