Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou příjmové nerovnosti České republiky a Polska v letech 1993 - 2016. Teoretická část práce je především zaměřena na historický vývoj obou zemí ve 20. století s důrazem na období transformace ekonomiky a následné evropské integrace. Dále uvádí několik ukazatelů, podle kterých se analyzuje příjmová nerovnost v dané zemi. Součástí práce je analýza dvou klíčových faktorů, jež mají vliv na velikost příjmové nerovnosti. Příjmová nerovnost je zkoumána pomocí Giniho indexu v letech 1993 – 2016 a indexu S80/S20 v letech 2007 – 2016. Hlavním přínosem analýzy dostupných dat je zjištění, že nezaměstnanost neměla ve zkoumaných zemích prokazatelný vliv na výši Giniho koeficientu, naopak podíl populace s terciárním vzděláním má negativní vliv na Giniho koeficient, tedy na příjmovou nerovnost.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of the income inequality of the Czech Republic and Poland in the period of 1993 - 2016. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused mainly on the historical development of these two countries in the 20th century with emphasis on the period of the transformation of the economy and subsequent European integration. Here are some indicators that analyze income inequality in a given country. Part of the thesis is an analysis of two key factors that influence the size of income inequality. Income inequality is examined using the Gini coefficient in 1993 - 2016 and the Income quintile share ratio in the years 2007-2016. The main benefit of the thesis is the conclusion that unemployment did not have a demonstrable effect on the Gini coefficient in these surveyed countries, while the share of the tertiary education population has a negative effect on the Gini coefficient, i.e. income inequality.
