Inductive model of objective clustering of data sets based on the DBSCAN algorithm using programming language R

Abstract:

Cílem práce byla praktická implementace induktivního modelu objektivního shlukování s~použitím algoritmu DBSCAN na základě programovacího jazyka R. V teoretické části práce se provádí stručná analýza procesu shlukování dat a přehled existujících algoritmů analýzy shlukování se zjištěním jejich převah a nedostatků. V uvedené části se podrobně popisuje algoritmus na základě hustoty DBSCAN. Je uskutečněna analýza principů induktivní technologie objektivního shlukování a je předložen algoritmus praktické realizace zmíněné technologie pro zjištění optimálních parametrů fungování algoritmu. V praktické části je představen výsledek realizace algoritmu DBSCAN v rámci induktivní technologie objektivního shlukování. Jako experimentální data jsou použita syntetická nízko-dimenzionální data školy výpočtů univerzity východního Finska. Je uveden programový kód postupné realizace shlukování dat.\\

Abstract:

The aim of the work was the practical implementation of an inductive model of objective clustering using the DBSCAN algorithm based on the R programming language. In the theoretical part of the work was made a brief analysis of the data clustering process and the existing cluster analysis algorithms. There were highlighted their advantages and disadvantages. In this section, the DBSCAN density algorithm is considered in detail. The analysis of the principles of the inductive technology of objective clustering is made and an algorithm for the practical implementation of this technology to determine the optimal parameters of the functioning of the algorithm is presented. The practical part presents the result of the implementation of the DBSCAN algorithm within the framework of objective clustering inductive technology and the program code of the step-by-step process of implementing data clustering. Synthetic low-dimensional data from the School of Computing of the University of Eastern Finland was used as experimental data.
