Factors affecting the fidelity of X-Ray images in skiagraphy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá faktory ovlivňující věrnost rentgenového obrazu při skiagrafickém vyšetření. Teoretická část pojednává o ionizujícím a rentgenovém záření, záznamových médiích, vlastnostech rentgenového svazku a faktorech ovlivňujících kvalitu a věrnost rentgenového obrazu. Cílem praktické části bylo posouzení významnosti faktorů podílejících se na věrnosti obrazu ovlivnitelných nastavením pacienta a zobrazovací soustavy, konkrétně zvětšením objektů v závislosti na ohniskové vzdálenosti a oddálení vyšetřované oblasti od záznamového média. Šetření bylo řešeno formou experimentu. Z výsledků vyplývá, že ke zvětšení obrazu dochází s přibližně lineární až exponenciální závislostí vzhledem k prodlužující se vzdálenosti mezi objektem a záznamovým médiem. Při prodloužení ohniskové vzdálenosti o 50 cm je zvětšení přibližně o 30 % menší.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with factors influencing the fidelity of X-ray imaging during skiagraphy examination. The theoretical part is about ionizing radiation and X-rays, recordings media, X-ray features and factors influencing the quality and fidelity of the X-ray image. The purpose of the practical part was to evaluate the importance of the factors, present to image fidelity, that can be influenced by the settings of the patient and the imaging system. Specifically, the enlargement of objects in dependence on the focal length and delaying the investigated part from the recording medium. The research was solved in a form of an experiment. The results show that image enlargement occurs with approximately linear to exponential dependence on the increasing distance between the object and the recording medium. After enlarging the focal length by 50 cm, the enlargement is about 30% smaller.
