Abstract:

The thesis introduces the relationship between Switzerland und EU. It deserves a short overview of relations between Switzerland and the EU (exkurs). Furhermore, neutrality as a definition and a reality; overview of bilateral agreements and institutional aspects, legal protection and interpretation rules. The main aim of this thesis is to introduce the Agreement on Free movement of Persons as well as Cooperation in the fields of police, justice, asylum and migration, and the well-known Schengen Agreement (with Dublin Convention). Finally, some remarks about the future of Switzerland are made– the way of convergence or distance, in other words, the assessment of the whole specific situation between Switzerland and EU.
