Jiřina Pokorná byla neobyčejná varhanice už proto, že dokázala zastávat post titulární varhanice, vykonávat pedagogickou a koncertní činnost v jedné osobě. Jiřina Pokorná was an exceptional organist whose career included positions as titular organist, concert organist and organ teacher. The opening chapters of the thesis focus on Pokorná's life, especially her studies and a short teaching period at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
