Selected risks of bank digitization in the Czech Republic in terms of personal identification

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou internetových bank se zaměřením na rizika digitálních hrozeb, zejména týkajících se zcizení osobních údajů a krádeže identity. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je popsat současná rizika, vysvětlit jejich význam a poskytnout ucelený přehled těchto rizik s odkazem na platnou legislativu. Dalším cílem je zjistit, jaké jsou nejčastější trestné činy vztahující se k bankovnictví v letech 2017 – 2019 páchané v Karlovarském kraji, zda trestná činnost klesá či nikoliv, porovnat její vývoj a stanovit počet trestných činů za dané období. Pro pochopení celé problematiky je však prvotní část věnována identifikaci, jejím základním pojmům a metodám. Navazující kapitola pojednává o historii bankovnictví až po současnost, dále jsou objasněny bankovní pojmy a způsob jakým vzniká obchodní vztah mezi klientem a bankou. Třetí kapitola charakterizuje konkrétní hrozby a ukázky skutečných případů. Závěrečná část porovnává a analyzuje statistická data trestné činnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Internet banks with a focus on the risks of digital threats, especially with regard to personal data and identity theft. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to describe the current risks, explain their significance and provide a comprehensive overview of these risks with reference to applicable legislation. Another goal is to determine what other mutual crimes related to banking in the years 2017 - 2019 committed in the Karlovy Vary region are, whether crime is declining or not, to compare its development and determine the number of crimes for the period. To understand the whole issue, the first part is devoted to identification, basic concepts and methods. The following chapter deals with the history of banking up to the present, further clarifies the banking concepts and the way in which the business relationship between the client and the bank arises. The third chapter characterizes specific threats and examples of real cases. The final part compares and analyzes statistical data on crime.
