Colour metallography of ferous metals

Abstract:

První část této bakalářské práce podává základní informace o struktuře železných kovů. Přitom se nezabývá jen vlastním upořádáním příslušných stavebních jednotek v prostoru, ale dotýká se také problematiky vzniku struktury či záměrné změny struktury v průběhu výrobního procesu. Další segment bakalářské práce pojednává o optické mikroskopii kovů, v praxi nejpoužívanější experimentální technice zkoumání kovů. Následující partie se věnuje metalografii kovů. Popisuje postup při studiu struktury kovů, zvláště rozebírá jednotlivé metody úpravy vzorků, jež využívá tzv. barevná metalografie ke zvýraznění struktury vzorků zkoumaných kovových materiálů. Předposlední část se potom zaměřuje na praktické použití dříve rozebraných teoretických poznatků na vybrané železné kovy. Presentuje provedený laboratorní výzkum, jenž se soustředil na aplikaci jedné z metod barevné metalografie - barevného leptání. Přibližuje proces úpravy vzorků vybraných železných kovů s využitím mj. několika různých leptadel a následně předkládá pořízené snímky mikrostruktury zkoumaných kovových materiálů a tyto vyhodnocuje. Bakalářskou práci uzavírá stručné shrnutí podstatných bodů vyložené problematiky.

Abstract:

The first part of this work provides basic information about the structure of ferrous metals. It just does not deal with his own arrangement of the building units in the area, but also discusses the issue of structure creation or deliberate changes to the structure during the manufacturing process. Another segment of the thesis deals about the optical microscopy of metals, the most widely used experimental the technique of examining metals in practice. The following parts are dedicated to metallography of metals. Describes how to study the structure of metals, especially discusses the different methods of sample preparation that the colour metallography uses to highlight the samples structure of studied metals. The penultimate section are focused on the practical application of the previously dismantled theoretical knowledge on the selected ferrous metals. Presents laboratory research which were focused on the application of one of the methods of colour methalography ? colour etching. It shows the process of the selected ferrous metals samples preparation with using several different etchants and then presents captured images of studied metallic materials microstructure and evaluated these. Bachelor thesis ends with a key points summary of described problems.
