Cieľom diplomovej práce je na základe analýzy zhodnotiť využitie krátkych pozícií v konkrétnom akciovom portfóliu. Teoretická časť sa venuje vymedzeniu krátkych pozícií, výnosu a definovaniu rizika. Praktická časť rozoberá a analyzuje využívanie kombinácií dlhých a krátkych pozícií v akciovom portfóliu spoločnosti Greenlight Capital Re a ich vplyv na výnos a konkrétne riziká.
