Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo zhodnotenie ako spotreba a investície ovplyvňujú ekonomický rast. Práca je rozdelená do troch kapitol. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické vysvetlenie jednotlivých pojmov. V druhej kapitole sú uvádzané jednotlivé pojmy, ako sú spotreba, investície a metódy výpočtu hrubého domáceho produktu z pohľadu národných účtov.
